COPERNICUS
Antwerp
Ghelamco purchased this former Dominican Monastery with the objective of redeveloping it sustainably to revitalize the Kievit neighbourhood. The site’s unique characteristics include its central location and proximity to the central station, as well as its potential connection to the office environment around Mediaplein.
Meraki’s mission was to integrate the fusion of functionality and harmony into the redevelopment while adding value to the neighbourhood. A mix of services and dynamics across the site allowed Meraki to propose a responsible and sustainable concept, making the most of the available greenery and natural light while maximizing the natural use of space. Community and integration were the two notions around which Meraki built the project so as to help drive the positive evolution of the central Antwerp area.
